The page cannot be displayed. - HTTP 500 - Internal server error

Solution:
Turn Off Friendly HTTP Error Messages in Internet Explorer

In order to debug any errors you are receiving you will need to turn off friendly http errors inside your browser. Follow the instructions below.

  1. First you need to select 'Tools' from the menu at the top of Internet Explorer. 
  2. Then from the drop down menu choose 'Internet Options'. 
  3. Once the 'Internet Options' Dialog box opens you want to choose the 'Advanced' tab. You will then see a list of Advanced functions of Internet Explorer that can be turned on or off by checking the tick boxes. Look down the list for 'Show friendly HTTP error messages' and uncheck the tick box for it followed by the 'Apply' button at the bottom of the dialog box. 
  4. Now when you return to the main Internet Explorer screen with 'The page cannot be displayed. - HTTP 500 - Internal server error' you should be able to get what the error is after hitting the refresh button.

Once you can identify the specific error, you can search the knowledgebase for a solution. If you cannot find a solution, submit a trouble ticket to TECH SUPPORT with a link to your installation.

**IMPORTANT NOTE**

If you have enabled friendly error messages in your browser and still receive an error that looks like this:

Server Error

500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.

You will need to contact your web hosting provider or server administrator to enable "Advanced Error Reporting" on the server.

Once you can identify the specific error you can search the knowledgebase for a solution. If you cannot find a solution, submit a trouble ticket to TECH SUPPORT with a link to your installation.
